AniNovel shows a novel the way an anime would: every line of dialogue in its own speech bubble, with a face and a colour for the character who says it. Each character can be read aloud in a voice of their own, and their mouths move while they speak.

If you are learning Japanese, the same page can be read in either language, and hearing a line in one character’s voice while seeing who says it makes the dialogue far easier to follow.
AniNovel also publishes original fiction. The editor, the character art and the narration are free to use, and part of what the site earns is shared with writers according to how much their work is read.
